It’s Official: Silver is the New Black

That’s right, the second phase of the Face Aging MN campaign is upon us. While last year’s work helped garner game-changing senior care reform in the 2015 legislative session, we needed to ensure that the Face Aging MN cause did not lose sight of its larger goals. Primarily, giving a voice to the seniors and making all Minnesotans aware of the growing number of seniors in our state.

Our main task: update the website. The original site worked great, but this time around we wanted to inform and engage. This came down to producing a website full of relevant and confounding content. Content that gave users an insight into what aging is really like and a place for our seniors to tell their stories.

One such storyteller was Helen Miller, a leading lady of the 2015 Face Aging MN campaign. On the updated website she has her own blog, Helen’s Corner, where she tells stories about her life, shares opinions and describes what it’s like to age in Minnesota. You can get your daily dose of Helen on the blog or on Facebook.

Other content includes an aging quiz, an aging readiness checklist and articles from around the state regarding aging in Minnesota and the benefits of the 2015 senior care reform. With easy-to-navigate design and a content-rich format, the site is user-friendly for everyone from 9-year-olds to 90-year-olds.
